Welcome, and thank you for dropping in! Most importantly, I am a proud mother of two sons and two stepdaughters. My oldest son resides in the Midwest where I grew up and my youngest is currently in the U.S. Navy serving our country abroad. My stepdaughters live in Tennessee. I am also a “dog mom” to Georgi Girl, my 2-year-old Morkie. I am a divorcee and widow. I currently reside in Naples, Florida.

After several years of grieving the loss of family, friends, marriages, relationships, miscarriages, businesses, innocence, hopes, dreams and more; then following the deaths of my mother and husband in 2005, I began pursuing my passion and purpose. Having completed courses in human services and social work years prior, I began studying life coaching, specifically in the areas of loss, grief, and end of life. While studying, I would coach others who shared their grief with me. Sometimes they would show up as customers shopping in my boutique that just felt compelled to share their story; sometimes they would show up as friends and family sharing their stories as well and I would always take the time to listen. In 2017, after suffering the loss of a significant relationship, I sold my boutiques “Beyond the Door” and "Karoline's Kloset" and moved to Florida. Here is where I took time to heal and pursue my certifications in Life, Loss/Grief and End of Life Coaching. I am currently pursuing my Cognitive Behavioral Therapist Certification.

Loss is part of everyone’s life, and it begins as early as losing the comforts of the womb. When we are born, we have no idea what we are destined for or to whom we will become. We have no idea what lays ahead of us. We are not prepared for entering a loss-filled world. A world that our journeys will not be a millisecond alike, but for certain will include loss.

Loss is inescapable, it is ever happening as our lives are constantly shifting and evolving. We are not taught about loss or how to grieve our losses well. We are not taught about the acceptance, mourning of and about the grief we will suffer as a result of our losses. We are taught the opposite; not to cry or show emotion, to “get over it”, to “suck it up”, that “time heals all wounds”, to not “talk about it”. Grief just appears to be unacceptable. We live in a society where grieving is not welcome. Winning is acceptable and celebrated; losing is unacceptable and painful.

It is my God given purpose to share my stories with and to walk beside and comfort others that are experiencing loss and grief. Through years of living through loss, combined with my education, training, and certification allows me to walk beside you as you grieve and grow through your loss(es). My passion for helping others enables me to accompany you while you open new doors towards healing. Together, let us "unpack" your bags of grief and "repack" your new bags filled with confidence and strength to take with you as you embark on a new journey. Who better to have with you on your journey than someone who has the life experiences, education, tools and has "walked the walk"?

I am a living example of someone that has come to know and accept there is power in the broken pieces. You can gain the power to prevail and go on in life, while honoring those that have died and also learning to accept nondeath losses as well all while grieving well and growing. I am here to tell you there is life beyond loss. I am living it!
