I am an accredited life coach who specializes in life, relationship, loss/grief, and end of life issues. I have tremendous empathy, compassion, patience and understanding coupled with great passion. Helping people open new doors into moving forward and living their best lives gives me great joy.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a free "let's get acquainted/discovery" call and discuss what you are wanting to accomplish, what coaching entails, and the benefits coaching can offer. By the end of our initial chat, we will both know if we are a good fit. When you are ready to begin, you will receive a coaching agreement, welcome packet, and an initial questionnaire.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified professional life coach graduate of Coach Training Alliance. I have also attended the Coaching at End of Life school, the Institute for Life Coaching Training, and the Transformation Academy. I have studied human services, relationships, confidence, time management, goal setting, grief, loss, end of life topics and more. I am a member of the International Coaching Federation. I am always participating in continuing education, and I am currently pursuing a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy certification.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Having experienced great losses and setbacks, including experiencing death at a young age and many other significant losses throughout life, it was a natural fit for me to coach the bereaved and those struggling in any area of loss and confusion that they may be experiencing along their life journey. It gives me great joy and honor to walk alongside my clients through doors to a better, more fulfilled, transformed life. I have an innate ability to help, empathize, comfort and just "be there" for people. I have served as a natural mentor/coach for many years. I possess tremendous listening skills, patience, empathy and understanding which are essential for a quality life coach.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Both adults and teens. Those having suffered loss of any kind: human, pet, divorce, separation, family relationships, friendships, employment, empty nest, retirement, home, relocation, etc. I have experience working with those that are striving to get organized, dealing with procrastination and goal setting. Having a history of business ownership, has brought me to work within company settings coaching business owners and their employees regarding to personnel issues, better work habits, goal setting, confidence enhancing, and growth.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Partnering with a coach is serious. Typically, the coach/client relationship will last anywhere from 3 to 6 months. Before hiring a coach, I would recommend having a discussion, so you can learn more about the life coaching process and see if you are a good match. To get the most out of the experience, it is imperative to choose someone that upholds not only ethics, confidentiality, and trust, but one that will offer great support and encouragement throughout the process. Testimonials and referrals are necessary.
What should the customer know about your pricing?
My fee is $80 per hour. Sessions are most sold in 2, 3- and 6-month packages. Discounts and installment plans are available for bundled coaching sessions. Scheduling varies depending upon individual circumstances. I usually meet with clients once every five to seven days. With short calls and emails throughout. Sessions are typically 1 hour. I also host workshops and group coaching.
